Kristan Sayers

Founder / Educator / Stylist

Kristan is an International Design Artist with Kemon and the proud owner of K Bella Hair Studio & Spa, located in Brighton Michigan.

Kristan graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Textile and Apparel Design. Afterward, she continued her education and attended Douglas J. Aveda Institute of Lansing, Michigan. Towards the beginning of her career, Kristan was a National Platform Artist for Alfaparf Milano specializing in hair color. Then, she was recognized as an International Design Artist with Neuma Beauty, where she traveled the world educating licensed hairstylists on up-styling and cutting. Now she is the US K-Now Director for Kemon, an Italian Color Company. She teaches the cutting collections to the US Market.

Kristan opened K Bella Hair Studio & Spa in 2009, working behind the chair 5 days per week. She also does the apprentice program through the State of Michigan, training new cosmetologists. In 2016, she became the State Representative for licensing regulations with the PBA to stop legislative changes that could hurt the beauty industry. In 2017, Kristan and her husband, Ben Sayers, began the Michigan Association of Beauty Professionals (MABP). This is a non-profit association that helps advocate and unite the beauty industry to help elevate the standards in Kristan’s home state of Michigan.

Kristan wants to share her knowledge and help anyone licensed in our industry trying to improve their craft. In the beauty world, trends and styles are always changing and it is important to keep your skills fresh and up to date. On this website, you’ll find video tutorials created by Kristan to show you how to cut and style everything from avantgarde to practical everyday hairstyles.
